Perhaps you recognize yourself here ...
In the beginning, there was excitement. Your new job felt exciting, a real challenge. You were motivated, you jumped in, and you learned new skills. But then - after a few months - that feeling crept back in. Routine. Stagnation. The desire for more.
Maybe you asked yourself: Is this all there is?
Maybe you comforted yourself with the thought that every job gets boring eventually. That you should "just be thankful" because your salary is right, the company is prestigious, your resume looks good.
But then it starts all over again. You change jobs, hoping that this time it will be a good fit. That you'll finally find a position where you can really grow. But within a year or two, the same feeling comes back.
If this sounds familiar, you're not in the wrong job - you're in the wrong system.
Why a career is not the answer to your unhappiness
I know what it's like. I spent years doing the same thing you did.
Continuing my education, learning new things, venturing into different industries. IT sales, business development, innovation management, product development, AI, healthcare - I was always where the future was being created.
I was successful. I made a career. I have two bachelor's degrees, a master's degree, and x number of certifications. And yet, I never really felt like I had arrived.
In each role, I developed strategies, moved companies forward, enabled growth - but for myself? There was always something missing. I wanted to set my own direction, live out my creativity, make a difference, build something that was truly mine.
But instead of seeing the real solution, I was looking for the next education. One more degree, one more certificate, and then it will finally feel right.
Until one day I realized:
It wasn't that I was missing something. It was because the system wasn't right for me.
And then I became a mother - and my life changed radically.
When a job change is not enough
The birth of my daughter intensified everything I had felt before. Suddenly it was no longer just about me. I had no time for my beloved songwriting and singing, which had given me the balance I needed - no room for compromise.
I wanted flexibility. I wanted purpose. I wanted to do my own thing.
But with that desire came doubt.
"Being self-employed all the time - do I really want that?
"Self-employment is insecure - I'm a person who needs security!"
"I'm not ready - I need training first".
"I don't have the network I need as an independent".
Sound familiar? Then let's debunk these myths.

Why your doubts are unfounded
“Self and constantly” - do I have to work 24/7?
No! The truth is that as an employee, you are already working more than 40 hours a week under the direction of others. Independence gives you the opportunity to organize your day according to your own rules - with clear structures, efficient processes and an offer that fits your life.
"Self-employment is unstable - I need stability!"
Ask yourself the opposite question: How secure is your current job? Companies restructure, jobs are eliminated, markets change. When you build your own business, you are the one steering the ship - not waiting to see what others decide.
"I'm not ready - I need more education first."
I believed for a long time that I needed another degree. But looking back, that was just an excuse. You've already gained valuable experience - now it's about turning it into a viable business.
"I don't have a network - how do I get clients?"
No one starts with a perfect network. But your network grows with you - through your positioning, your content and your first customers. You don't need a huge network, you just need the right people who will benefit from what you have to offer.

Conclusion: You are not the problem-the system is.
If you keep asking yourself why no job really fulfills you, maybe it's not because you "don't look right" - it's because it's time to create your own system.
Self-employment is not for every woman. But if you feel there's more to you than what your current job allows, you should at least explore it.
No matter what step you take next, I promise you that the here and now doesn't have to be your final destination.
